Apple's 2020 Event Plans: New products and software coming in 2020

In the average year, Apple holds three to four occasions. There is usually a spring event in March, the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, and a September event focusing on the iPhone and Apple Watch, and sometimes an October event if iPads or Macs are expected in the fall.

It is still expected in 2019


2019 is about to end and, although Apple will hold an event on December 2, it will focus on applications and games and is not expected to include any hardware announcements. Apple still plans to launch Pro Display XDR and Mac Pro in December, but these new products will come out without an accompanying event.

Early 2020 event


The first Apple event of each new year usually occurs in the spring, usually in March. We expect a spring event this year, as there are some products that seem to be close to launch.

iPad Pro


It is rumored that Apple is working on a next-generation iPad Pro that would incorporate a later flight time camera system that would allow capturing 3D models using the iPad Pro and then editing them with the Apple Pencil for an "all-new productivity experience" .

So far, rumors indicate that we could see the new iPad Pro during the first half of 2020, and Apple has launched new iPad models in the past in the spring.

"iPhone SE 2"


Apple is working on a low-cost 4.7-inch device that features an A13 processor and an iPhone 8-style design with a Touch ID start button and a single-lens rear camera.

The price of the new iPhone could start at $ 399, and despite the name "iPhone SE 2" referred to in the rumors, this device is likely to be more similar to an iPhone 8 than the original iPhone SE. Rumors suggest that the new 4.7-inch iPhone will be released during the first half of 2020.

WWDC


WWDC will see Apple preview new software updates that will be released in September 2020. We expect iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and macOS 10.16 to be presented at the World Developer Conference in 2020.

It is not known when WWDC will take place in 2020, but it usually takes place during the first two weeks of June.

September 2020


September always brings new iPhone and Apple Watch models, and September 2020 will be no exception. We expect three new iPhone models with size options of 5.4, 6.7 and 6.1 inches, and everyone is expected to have OLED displays and 5G connectivity.

New Apple TV
